The Tasmanian Foundation for Occupational Medicine has an emphasis on developing and maintaining an Occupational and Environmental Physician (OEPs) workforce based in Tasmania, with specialised knowledge of Tasmanian industry and healthcare and a commitment to health, safety and well-being of Tasmania’s workforce.
An Occupational & Environmental Physician (OEP) is a doctor who specialises in the effect of work on health and on the impact of physical and psychological health conditions on the capacity to work. These questions have been compiled to explore the needs of the Tasmanian government, business and community sectors to ensure that the Tasmanian Foundation for Occupational Medicine successfully raises funding for succession planning by providing scholarships to trainees to future proof Tasmania’s OEP workforce.
